PUDA (Punjab Urban Development Authority)
The body :
Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority is an institution established in July 1995 for regulating urban growth in Punjab. Since the time it was formed, PUDA primarily functions towards ensuring well planned residential, commercial and industrial spaces that are developed using the latest state of the art technology and town planning norms.
Licence :
In keeping with the current economic thinking, PUDA has taken major steps to promote private participation in urban development. So far the thrust of private participation has been in licensing of private colonies. Private individuals and companies who wish to develop land into a colony are required to obtain a license under the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995. So far PUDA has licensed 173 colonies covering 3196.1342 acres of land.
GBM has also acquired licenses from PUDA to develop our residential / commercial projects.
